The University of Nairobi held the 67th graduation on 23rd September 2022 in Taifa Hall, Main Campus. The event saw 3,553 graduands conferred with different degrees and awarded various diplomas.
On 20th July 2022, the Department held the River-front Urban Design Students' Exhibition.
The objective of the exhibition was to share knowledge and raise awareness regarding the Riparian Corridor Studies that have been undertaken at UoN’s Department of Architecture during Academic Year 2021-2022.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Dr Edwin Oyaro Ondieki who passed on Friday 27th May 2022.
Until his demise, the Late Dr. Oyaro was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, University of Nairobi. He joined the Department in December 2003.
Samburu Stories is curated by students from University College Dublin. It recounts the story of the collaborative experience of building the n’kaji, the vernacular house of the Samburu lowlands of Kenya. By studying the house from a holistic, transdisciplinary perspective, we can better understand the complexities of globally shared challenges and how these impact how we build and live over the coming decades.
