In recognition of architecture students’ accomplishments in various fields, the University of Nairobi Department of Architecture held an award ceremony on the 20th of March 2024, from 2 - 4 pm.
In commemoration of Italian Design Day(IDD), the department of Architecture at the University of Nairobi in conjunction with the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC), is holding a seminar on Wednesday 13th March 2024 from 2pm to 4pm.
The team, led by the Architecture Department Chairman and IIC Director Elena Gallenca, will be engaging the students in an afternoon talk centred on the theme: Manufacturing value - inclusivity, innovation and sustainability.
AAK Duracoat Awards of Excellence in Architecture, 2024
This week, from Monday 26th February to Saturday 2nd March, 2024, the University of Nairobi, Department of Architecture has the pleasure of hosting the AAK Duracoat, Awards of Excellence in Architecture exhibition.
The exhibition (being entries to the AAK Awards) is being held at the ADD Architecture Studios, on level 4.
From the entries will be appraised on 27th and 28th February, 2024, by a jury comprising:

The Department on Wednesday 13th December 2023, hosted Architect Simon Johnson during our weekly talks.
Johnson is the Principal Partner at Dalgliesh Marshall Johnson (DMJ) Architects.
The exciting talk was attended by Staff and students from the Department.
In the weekly Wednesday afternoon Talks, Staff from the Department narrated their stories and experiences as they took the current students on their personal stories centered on the Journey Through Architecture School.
Wednesday, 29.11.2023 at 2:00PM. Led by Arch. Florence Nyole - AAK President, AAK executive committee. The Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) Governing Council visited the department and made a presentation to students.
On Wednesday, 22.11.2023 at 2:00PM. The department played host to the Design ARTitude Architects.
On Wednesday, 15.11.2023 at 2:00PM. the Department welcomed Dr. Vincent Kitio to to give a mentorship talk to the students.
Dr. Vincent Kitio is the Chief, Urban Energy Unit, UN - Habitat (United Nations Human Settlement Programme)
