Duracoat Awards of Academic Excellence 2023

They Department of Architecture, University of Nairobi, Faculty of the Built Environment & Design hosted the Duracoat Awards of Excellence 2023.

The ceremony which was held at the Architecture studios on 3rd October 2023 from 2:00PM, saw a total of 75 students drawn from various departments being rewarded, they Included:

• Department of Architecture
• Department of Real Estate Construction Management, & Quantity Surveying
• Department of Arts and Design
• Department of Civil Engineering

The students were all rewarded with a certificate plaque and a cash prize.

Present during the awards was Basco Paints, Managing Director Mr. Kamlesh Shah, President, Dean, faculty of the Built Environment & design, President of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) Arch. Florence Nyole, Chairman, Dept of Architecture, University of Nairobi various Heads of Departments in the faculty of Built Environment & Design among others.

Duracoat in partneship with the Department of Architecture, UoN, has continued to sponsor the awards since 2006, the initiative seeks to award and recognize students who excel in their respective academic programs.
