Almost a hundred years ago, a radical artistic utopia was born in the tranquil city of Weimar - the Bauhaus. Its effects still shape our world today. Against the background of the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, the documentary film BAUHAUS SPIRIT - 100 years of Bauhaus not only tells art history, but also contemporary history. The film goes back to the beginnings of the first Bauhaus group around Walter Gropius, whose educational concept between celebration and research was revolutionary.
ABSTRACT.
In Civil Engineering and Construction Industry, crushed stones are known as aggregates and are the basic materials in modern construction work. The current methods for crushing stones to produce aggregates are characterized by the use of large, expensive and centralised crushing plants, which are beyond the reach of small scale entrepreneurs. In addition, such centralized plants are often located too far away from the point of use of aggregates leading to prohibitively high cost of the same.
Our Master of Science student Ms. Mariana Wanza has been seconded to ICIPE where she will study the "Environmental Effects of the Inclusion of Insects Larvae in Chicken Feed."
This project is a collaboration between department of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering with our sister department at JKUAT and ICIPE, represented by Dr. D. O. Mbuge, Dr. Mutwiwa and Dr. Tanga respectively
Background and Justification of the project Provide sufficient background information related to this innovation/invention indicating the most recent information from relevant literature and justifying the need to undertake the project Concrete mixing can be done, either manually, with the use of such simple tools as ashovel and board or wheel-barrow, or by use of a power-driven concrete mixer.
