The Turkey Ambassador in Kenya Mr. Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu paid a courtesy call to the Chairman,
Department of Architecture and Building Science, Arch. Musau Kimeu, in his office on Tuesday 21 st
January, 2020. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Selim Akel from Turkey.

The discussion centred on collaboration between the Department and Turkey. To start off, the
Ambassador will be visiting the Department in mid-March, 2020 on a date to be confirmed,
accompanied by the world re-known Turkish Architect EMRE AROLAT who will give a series of
presentations together with his team.

Arch. Emre Arolat who holds the International Academy of Architecture title of Professor of the
Academy, is a winner of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and selected work for the Wies Van der
Rohe Award, among other awards.
