Last week, the Department of Architecture at the University of Nairobi had the pleasure of hosting EcoSpace Architects Limited partners; Architect Florence Nyole and Architect Evans Makan on Wednesday 16th April 2024 from 2pm - 5pm.

EcoSpace Architects is a leading Architectural Practice that has produced a series of award winning projects such as the Mara Girls’ Leadership School Talek, and the Koitobos Residence in Karen - both of which have won AAK Duracoat Awards of excellence in Professional Practice.. Other notable projects include the FAWE office extension in Kilimani, Laneens Business Centre in Eldoret, Kitonga Gardens in Tala, and Jack Cottages in Eldoret.

Arch. Nyole is a partner at EcoSpace Architects Ltd. where she has practised since 2017. Architect Florence Nyole, serves as the current President of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK). Previously, she served as  Vice-President of the AAK, before successfully vying for Presidency. In addition, she was the President of the East Africa Institute of Architects from 2020-2021. 

In her student years, she received the Duracoat Awards for Academic Excellence, for outstanding performance in both of her graduating years.

Arch. Makan is a founding partner of EcoSpace Architects. He is a recipient of the East Africa Institute of Architects Competition for Best Graduating project 

Award, where he placed first.
