NOTES
GENERAL
-All dimension are shown in mm unless otherwise
specified.
-Drawings are not to be scaled.Only figured dimensions are to
be used.
-Contractor must check & verify all dimensions before
commencement of work
-PV denotes permanent ventilation
-All slabs at ground level to be poured over 1000 gauge
polythene sheeting on 50mm thick murram blinding on
hardcore.
-All soils under slabs & all around external foundation to be
poised for termite control
-All soils on cut embarkments to be stabilised. The slope
should not exceed natural angle of repose.
CONSTRUCTION
-All black cotton soil to be removed from below all building
and paved surfaces.
-All paved surfaces to be clear of black cotton soil a distance
of 500mm outside the edge of the surface.
-For all R.C. works, refer to S.E.'s details.
-Foundation depths to be determined on site and to
S.E.'sapproval.
-All walls less than 200mm thick to be reinforced with hoop
iron at every alternate course.
-All adjacent R.C. works and masonry walls to be tied strap
irons at every altenate course
STRUCTURAL
-All plumbing and drainage to comply with p.h.
specifications.
-All surface ducts to be accessible from all floors.
SVP denote soil vent pipe and to be provided at the head of
the drainage.
-Drains passing beneath building & driveways to be encased
in 150mm concrete sarround.
-All underground foul & waste drain pipes shall be of PVC and
to comply with BS5255.
-All inspection chambers covers and framing shall be in cast
and to comply with BS 497 Table 2 Grade A.
-The storm water drain pipes to comply with BS556.
-Minimum slope in the drain pipes to be 1%.
-No chases will be allowed in the slabs for pipes.
-No cutting of concrete without express approval of the
Architect or S.E.
-All testing of pipes must be cordinated with electrical and any
conflicts must be clarified before works begins.
MECHANICAL
-All conduits must be laid before plastering
ELECTRICAL
FINISHES SCHEDULE
1. FLOOR FINISHES
a. Approved 10x20x250mm mahogany T&G parquet
flooring in approved pattern on 20mm 1:4 lime sand
screed
b. 300x300x10mm thick quarry tiles
c. 600x600x10mm thick glazed ceramic tiles
d. 300x300x10mm thick glazed ceramic tiles
e. 150x150x10mm thick glazed ceramic tiles
f. Random cut and stacked mazeraz stones
2. WALL FINISHES
a. Moulded mahogany timber railing 1200mm high
b. 12mm thick lime plaster, treated with waterproofing
admixture. Coats applied to manufacturer's specifications
c. 300x300x20mm thick glazed ceramic tiles 1200mm high
fixed with adhesive on rendered background with grouting to
approval
d. Exposed random cut coral stone
e. 150x150x20mm thick glazed ceramic tiles 2000mm high
fixed with adhesive on rendered background with grouting to
approval
3. SKIRTING FINISHES
a. ex. 150x25mm thick mangrove nailed on the wall
b. 300x100x10mm thick quarry tiles
c. 300x100x10mm thick glazed ceramic tiles
d. Random cut and stacked mazeras stones
4. CEILING FINISHES
a. 25mm thick suspended gypsum ceiling board and plaster
on lime soffit
b. Mahogany timber strips T&G
c. 9mm first coat 1:4 lime/sand screed and 3mm second coat
on lime plaster, smooth trowelled on structural slab
d. Square cut mangrove planks alternate with lime infill
