100mm * 100mm Square cut mangrove
(boriti) planks alternate with lime infill
Wide arched openings gives character
to the facade identifying with the
mambrui Swahili architecture. It allows
for views of mambrui market from the
swimming pool area .
900mm*2500mm rectangular
mpingo wood casement window with
8mm clear glass to schedule.
12mm thick lime wash coat on lime
plaster, treated with water proofing
admixture. Coats applied to
manufacturers' specifications.
1500mm wide by 3000mm arched
window with mangrove strips crisscrossing
creating mushrabiyyah screening the interior
spaces and allowing for cross ventilation
500mm thick coral masonary wall. Lime
mortar as binder
Coral aggregate entrance steps finished with
screed and painted to approval to the
architect's approval

Riser=150mm
305mm high*200mm thick coral plaster
moulding on rc columns carved to architects
detail to accentuate the columns and enhance
their character
